Our Story

The CFTS story began over 15 years ago when Dedra Faine, an event designer, and producer, moved from Virginia to New Orleans and was embraced by an abundance of hospitality and their innate ability to share their beautiful hosting traditions via food, family, culture, gorgeous design, inclusive spirits, and love of having a good time.

Dedra wanted to reciprocate the gracious hospitality that was given to her by telling her story as a Virginian and her personal inspirations from family traditions, her love of creating beautiful tablescapes, and hosting in her home.  This inspired her first book, Celebrations from the Soul, An Inspirational Sourcebook for Personal Entertaining.

On the cover Dedra along with her then eight-year-old daughter Lauren was featured with a beautifully designed tablescape in a book that embodied the importance of understanding your design style, sharing family traditions, and showcasing places where you have journeyed within your hosting.  Dedra wrote her second book that featured the importance of working on your heart so that you are a gracious and positive influence within your home and community.  Within both books, Dedra not only shared the unique traits that hospitality can provide in lifting and sharing with others, but she was also able to showcase her unique gift of creating beautiful spaces.

Fast forward to 2021, after launching her candle line in 2020, Dedra decided that the time was now to launch the full Homeware Line that had been on her heart for several years.  Fifteen years since they debuted together on the cover of Celebrations from the Soul, the mother and daughter team are excited to work together with the CFTS brand featuring beautiful design aesthetics. Continuing CFTS’s mission started in the beginning.

Welcome to Celebrations from the Soul; as we always say, we hope that our products' beauty inspires you and that they will be an olive branch to your soul!

Dedra Quotes:

“My hope, is that when someone leaves my home whether it is a family member or friend that some piece of their soul is fed, and will continue to be fed as they pass on this grace into their community.” Dedra Faine
