About Dedra
Dedra D. Faine
Founder, Celebrations from the Soul
Celebrations from the Soul was never just a business.
It was always a way of living.
I have long believed that hospitality is sacred — not because of perfection, but because of presence. Long before titles, classrooms, or curated collections, I was shaped at a family table where gathering was daily, not occasional. From my grandmothers to my mother, I inherited a quiet understanding: love is shown through consistency, care, and the spaces we create for one another.
Today, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Hampton University, where I teach ownership, leadership, and the discipline of building something meaningful. But Celebrations from the Soul lives outside of the classroom. It is the softer extension of my work — the place where structure gives way to stillness, and strategy meets sacred rhythm.
Coastal living has deeply influenced the way I see the world — calm, layered, intentional. I am drawn to natural textures, timeless pieces, gentle color palettes, and objects that whisper rather than shout. I believe a well-curated space should invite people to exhale. To linger. To feel seen.
This company exists for several reasons.
It exists because I believe beauty matters.
It exists because gathering matters.
It exists because legacy matters.
It is my offering — using the gifts and talents entrusted to me to curate beautiful pieces for hosting and shared spaces. Each collection is chosen with care, humility, and encouragement in mind. Not for performance, but for connection.
And perhaps most importantly, this is generational. My daughter — once on the cover of my first book — now walks beside me as part of this evolving story. What began as a calling has become a legacy in motion, designed to carry forward to future generations.
Celebrations from the Soul is about more than entertaining.
It is about hosting life with grace.
Creating sacred spaces.
Living rooted.
Gathering well.
Welcome.
Sincerely,
Dedra Faine
